GERMAN NAZI "FANTASY" BADGES
The badges shown here have been produced probably in Poland sometime between 1990 and 1996. They are so absurd that one wonders why anybody would want to spend time and money on manufacturing such garbage; nevertheless, they are real and they show up at militaria shows and auctions all over North America.
These insignias share the following conspicuous features:
Top: A crude travesty (with enamel!) of the so-called Condor Legion Cross; the disc is marked, of course, CONDOR LEGION.
Bottom left: A fantastic "Luftwaffe badge", the disc marked LUFTWAFFE.
Bottom right: More of the same, the inscription (in bad German) rougly means "The property of the flying corps"(!!!), the disc also marked LUFTWAFFE.
Top: A very large (2" diameter) badge of unknown purpose; the inscription reads "Germany is awaken" instead of the correct "Germany awake!"; the disc is of typical Polish production.
Bottom: An "SS badge": a moronic combination of Nazi emblems and mottoes, the disc marked BERLIN with a serial number.
